Dane County Board Considering Drastic Cuts to Sheriff’s Department

Jeff Weigand, Dane County Supervisor - October 18, 2025

There are three different proposals being considered by the Dane County Board that would make drastic cuts to the Sheriff's department.

1.) The first proposal would cut 16 Sheriff’s Deputy positions from the Sheriff's office. Savings from the position elimination would be given to the Human Services Department and would go towards socialist welfare programs and "non profits" who grift off the taxpayers.

2.) The second proposal would cut an additional 7 Sheriff’s Deputy positions and would give the savings to the City of Madison who would spend the money on a homeless shelter for men. Keep in mind the majority (not all but still the majority) of the Dane County Homeless community are single, adult, childless, able-bodied men who chose the homeless lifestyle as opposed to a life of responsibility and productivity.

3.) The third proposal would cut an additional 5 Sheriff’s Deputy positions and would give the savings once again to another homeless shelter in Madison for "households without children."

200 Teacher Sexual Misconduct, Grooming Cases Shielded from Public

Danielle DuClos, Capital Times - October 15 2025

After Shawn Umland took a group of his students on a field trip to Florida, licensing regulators at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction started investigating him. The inquiry followed a media report alleging Umland touched the tops of a student’s breasts during the trip while applying sunburn treatment in a hotel room, the agency’s records show.

That was in 2019. Umland had previously been disciplined in 2005 for his behavior in a hotel room with a female student on a school trip, according to the department’s records.

Time For All Involved With ICE Ambushes to Go to Prison

Dave Glomp - October 18, 2025

Two separate ambushes of ICE Agents in Texas this week, including the wounding of law enforcement personnel, proves that it’s time to have the U.S. Justice Department step in and prosecute ALL those involved in preventing ICE from deporting criminal illegal aliens. It is only a matter of time before Border agents, just doing their jobs, are killed by those encouraged to stop ICE actions.

Democrats in both houses of Congress are encouraging citizens to do agents harm while capturing and deporting these criminals. They are complicit and should also be brought to justice for inciting criminal actions preventing ICE from lawfully acting as assigned.

Ironically, many of these are the same legislators who passed the laws currently on the books requiring illegal criminals to be removed from our country.
