America Can Feel Good About Itself Again
David Blaska, Blaska Policy Werkes - February 26, 2026
Here is why Republicans will win the mid-terms, even here in increasingly blue Wisconsin. We’re optimists, they’re not. Democrats scold you for not checking your guilty white privilege at the door of this stolen land. Maybe progressives don’t live in a world where everyone is a victim of your selfish success, but they’re working on it.
We cannot encounter Elizabeth Warren without picturing Nurse Ratched sexually shaming poor Billy Bibbit in the Cuckoos Nest. Ilhan Omar flees Somalia to lecture America about how screwed up we are. Zohran Mamdani wants us to feel the warmth of socialism — an economic system even cold Russia abandoned.
You’d think Democrats would run out of ideas — no, make that, one would hope Democrats would run out of ideas but there’s always another gummint giveaway program in the policy hopper.
Here in Wisconsin, Francesca Hong is the front-runner among Democrats angling for Wisconsin governor (as we predicted). A Zohran Mamdani democratic socialist. State Rep. Hong (D-Madison) is polling just ahead of Mandela Barnes, who, if he isn’t a card-carrier, is cheating the collectivists out of their dues. Barnes also carries more baggage than a Pullman porter. In an eight-way race, either of them could win with just 13 percent of the vote.
Jim Troupis Motion Details Extreme Jill Karofsky, Rebecca Dallet Bias, Including Bizarre ‘Your King’ Comment
Jessica McBride, Wisconsin Right Now - February 23, 2026
In a new motion, former judge and Trump attorney Jim Troupis is calling for the recusal of state Supreme Court Justices Jill Karofsky and Rebecca Dallet for their scathingly biased comments relating to him, including Karofsky allegedly accusing Troupis of wanting to “overturn this election so that your king can stay in power.”
“What you want is you want us to overturn this election so that your king can stay in power, and that is so un-American,” Karofsky said, according to a motion filed by Troupis, who was President Donald Trump’s election attorney in Wisconsin. Troupis filed the motion on February 20, seeking both justices’ recusal. |
“That’s how then Justice Karofsky described Troupis’s motives when he represented President Trump in an important election dispute,” the motion says. “In her view, Troupis’s conduct (filing the case) was ‘unheard of in American history’ and ‘smacked of racism.'”
