Francesca Hong Faces Criticism Over Police and Prison Comments
TrueNorthNews - June 4, 2026
Socialist Gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong has been receiving criticism from both sides of the aisle about her policies. Including things such as previous statements criticized by Democrats and their news outlets.
Hong, who’s running in a crowded 2026 democratic primary, had shown support for defunding and abolishing police departments. In a statement to CNN, Hong did not seem to walk back her ideas. She told CNN that her comments spark a “wider conversation around police abolition” rooted in her belief that “the current system is not working.”
Despite Hong’s comments, some of her socialist counterparts in deep blue portions of the country have toned down the “abolish” and “defund” game plan. In 2025, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani walked back his “defunding the police” comments. Back in 2020, during the heightened tensions with the BLM movement, even socialist Senator Bernie Sanders distanced himself from the abolish police movement.
End Insane ICE Protests
Dave Glomp - June 8, 2026
Enough already, with the daily reports of another sanctuary city with professional protestors trying to stop ICE from doing their job of ridding our country of criminal illegal aliens! I mention professional protestors because in the recent protests in Newark, New Jersey at the Delaney Hall detention facility, it involved a majority of well-funded and -trained, out-of-state, non-local persons, demonstrating, rather than any numbers of local concerned citizens. This is exactly what happened in other sanctuaries, like Minneapolis, among many others, when ICE attempted to remove criminal illegals from courts, jails, and off the streets.
It has been proven time and again, that non-profit protest groups, most with numerous innocuous names and charters aimed at confusing the public of their protest intentions, were set up as formal organizations designed to fund and man these national protest groups, regardless of what their charter said! 80% out of 100% of Americans have condemned these groups, yet nothing is done to stop their Antifa like tactics causing mayhem, injuries, death, and destruction wherever they turn up!
Time for the federal government to remove these groups’ tax-exempt status and arrest the leaders for public fraud and deception, as well as their riotous actions.
