Democrats Are Fighting Their Own Intifada

David Blaska, Blaska Policy Werkes - June 29, 2026

Their bolshies are not tolerant people!

Like always, we’ll gorge on bratwursts and beer this Saturday July 4, no matter the temperature. The only question is whether we will fire up that orange bug of a tractor, our 1950 Allis Chalmers G, for the Orchard Ridge neighborhood parade again this year.

Should do something special, given this Independence Day is the 250th. Maybe work our worry beads over the state of the union. Seems we’re more divided as a nation than when the tall ships sailed in 1976. Already absorbed the 12 hours of Ken Burns’ American Revolution, time to bone up on the one in Russia, 1917.

Today’s Democrat(ic) party is a civil war zone. Socialist revolutionaries are storming the winter palace. During that party’s primary election last week, New York booed one of its own, congressional leader Hakeem Jeffries. (When did that guy become too moderate?) Backed by the new socialist mayor of New York, three social democrats purged more mainstream Democrats — two of them incumbents. One of them actually F-bombed Kamala Harris.

In San Francisco, the putative successor to Nancy Pelosi — a Jewish gay man — is hounded out of an LGBTQIA+ event by pro-Palestinian zealots who wouldn’t last 10 minutes in Gaza.

DPI Waterpark Spending Scandal Sparks Lawsuit Over Secret Testing Meeting

TrueNorthNews - June 17, 2026

The Institute for Reforming Government filed a suit against DPI and its Standard Setting Committee, alleging the agency violated Wisconsin’s Open Meetings Laws.

The suit alleges that the DPI and its Standard Setting Committee broke the law during a closed-door 2024 conference at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. The lawsuit is seeking to invalidate the actions taken at the four-day event. An event where 88 educators participated in setting new cut scores for the Wisconsin Forward Exam, with a reported cost of about $368,885.

Lawmakers raised concerns earlier this year on why the DPI did not provide detailed receipts for staff time, food, travel, or lodging tied to the event after the event concluded. In response, State Legislators halted a $1 million funding package to DPI after the secret funding came to light.

Documents released by DPI included nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) and internal materials connected to the standard setting process. Participants were told to not share workshop feedback, recommendations or other event contents, and DPI officials did not provide recordings or meeting minutes from the event.
