New Study on Republican, Democrat Tolerance Goes Viral: Science Shows Liberals Aren’t So Open-Minded

Michael Austin, Western Journal, June 13, 2025

While the Democrats may be known as the party of tolerance and diversity, one study indicated that the opposite may be the case.

In recent days, Temple University professor Jacob Shell posted a screenshot on X of an article headlined, “There is more diversity of thought on the political Right than on the political Left.”

The subtitle declared, “Although they pride themselves on open-mindedness, liberal thinking actually coalesces around a very narrow set of opinion, whereas the Right diverges widely.”

A visual that accompanied the article indeed showed a small, clustered set of blue dots to represent Democrats and their stances, while a much broader and more dispersed grouping of red dots represented Republicans.

“How did this happen?” Shell asked in the post, which had nearly 18 million views as of Friday morning.

Blaska Policy Werkes - Double Feature!

Stones of steel — bringing the hammer down at midnight!

David Blaska, Blaska Policy Werkes, June 22, 2025

What a contrast is Donald Trump from dithering old Sleepy Joe! The previous occupant cut and ran from Afghanistan with local allies hanging in desperation onto the landing gear of aircraft lifting off from Bagram AFB. Wouldn’t that air force base have been useful when Donald Trump unleashed his unholy hell on Iran’s nuclear sites Saturday 06-21-25?

What a contrast is this President from Barack Obama who tried to buy peace with bundles of currency that only financed snake nests throughout the Middle East. (As Scott Walker explains.)

Dane County Sides With the Rock-Throwers

David Blaska, Blaska Policy Werkes, June 18, 2025

Dane County just confirmed that it is a sanctuary county. Dane County government is joining Gov. Gavin Newsom’s lawsuit against immigration enforcement. The California governor is suing to overturn the President’s decision to federalize the National Guard in response to attacks on immigration officials in the Los Angeles area.

Supv. Jeff Weigand, the only conservative among the 37 members, called it “a horrible decision.”

“No sane person wants their city burned, looted and destroyed. President Trump is doing exactly what he should do in trying to protect the innocent citizens and businesses in Los Angeles.”

Dane County Sues President Trump

Jeff Weigand, Dane County Board Supervisor - June 17, 2025

Just a quick update to let you all know that Dane County just joined California Governor Gavin Newsom in suing President Trump. You read that right, Dane County is joining forces with one of the worst governors in America, who is trying to stop President Trump from protecting the citizens and businesses of Los Angeles. (See memo image below.) This is a horrible decision for many reasons including the following.

This was done with no vote from the County Board. (Back in March, the County Board passed a blanket resolution giving the County's Attorney the authority to join lawsuits against President Trump with no vote from the County Board.) This issue has nothing to do with Dane County.

What Gavin Newsom is doing to his state is a travesty, but it has no immediate affect on us in Dane County. President Trump is doing what he was elected to do. No sane person wants their city burned, looted and destroyed. President Trump is doing exactly what he should do in trying to protect the innocent citizens and businesses in Los Angeles. The State of California is rotting because of failed liberal polices that favor criminals over law abiding citizens and we should not join forces with a state that has such a horrible track record.

Jeff Weigand is Dane County Board Supervisor for the 20th District.
