Wisconsin has lost more than 53,000 students in the last decade — yet Democrats think the answer is to throw even MORE money at half-empty buildings. Wisconsin already has some of the highest property tax rates in the country. Governor Evers’ 400-year property tax increase will only make the burden on families worse. Today, we passed voluntary reforms that give school districts real options:

  • Incentives for consolidation

  • Tools to share staff and reduce duplication

  • Protection for taxpayers

  • Greater access to academic offerings.

You can’t fix declining birth rates by raising taxes and spending more. These bills offer sustainable, long-term solutions that put students and taxpayers first.

You know you’re in trouble when a fellow judge testifies against you and there’s a voice recording of you saying, “I’ll take the heat.” (Didn’t Jimmy Cagney say that?) We predict jury nullification but if convicted, that’s one pardon Trump does not issue.
