Is Defunding Homeland Security Treason?

The Democratic Party has defunded the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), while law enforcement officials throughout our country are faced with the highest level of terrorist alerts ever! Remember, when and how that department was created? It was created by our government after the Islamic Terrorist attacks on 9-11-2001.

It was designed to coordinate numerous federal departments and agencies to continually investigate, monitor and act to prevent domestic terrorist attacks. Now, in a purely political action by the Democrats, they have again withdrawn funding as America escalates military operations against Iran. That means our country has stopped funding DHS and other key agencies that work together to thwart terrorism here in our country.

The Democrats justify withholding funds to demand changes in deportation laws, passed by Congress unanimously following 9-11-2001. Other agencies beyond DHS whose funds are being withheld include: Air Traffic Control, the Coast Guard, Secret Service, Border Patrol and CyberSecurity processes critical to ensuring national security. The net effect is that anyone working for any of these Departments or agencies are not being paid.

This is the second time Democrats have used withdrawal of federal funding to cripple our country and put us at risk. This action should be considered an act of Treason and should be treated that way by our US Attorney General.
